The Challenge
Amigos En Cristo Center had been operating with technology and communications infrastructure that had accumulated over many years.
Throughout the facility, legacy network cabling and traditional telephone wiring dating back approximately 10–15 years remained in place. As technology requirements evolved, this older infrastructure had become increasingly difficult to manage and no longer provided the clean, scalable foundation the organization needed.

IronCoast IT carried out a comprehensive technology modernization project designed around the current and future needs of the Amigos En Cristo Center.
Legacy Cabling & Infrastructure Cleanup
The first stage involved identifying and removing outdated network, telecommunications, and abandoned cabling that had accumulated throughout the property during the previous 10–15 years.
Removing unnecessary infrastructure helped create a cleaner and more manageable technology environment while making future troubleshooting, expansion, and maintenance significantly easier.
Where required, network infrastructure was reorganized and prepared to support the organization’s modern connectivity requirements.
Ubiquiti Camera System
A new Ubiquiti UniFi camera and video surveillance system was implemented to provide improved visibility and security throughout the facility.
The new platform provides centralized management of cameras and recordings, replacing fragmented or outdated surveillance technology with a modern solution that can be easily monitored and expanded as requirements change.
The UniFi ecosystem also allows the organization’s networking and physical security infrastructure to work together within a centrally managed environment.
Microsoft Teams Voice Phone System
Traditional telephone infrastructure was modernized using a Microsoft Teams Voice-based phone solution.
Business telephone numbers and calling services were transitioned into a modern cloud-based communications environment, allowing staff to use Microsoft Teams as part of their day-to-day communications platform.
Moving away from traditional telephone lines provides Amigos En Cristo with a more flexible communications system while reducing reliance on aging on-premises telephone infrastructure.
The solution also provides a foundation for future features such as call routing, voicemail, user extensions, auto attendants, and remote communications.
Ongoing Managed IT & Network Support
The project did not end with the installation.
IronCoast IT continues to provide ongoing IT and network support for Amigos En Cristo Center, helping maintain the infrastructure and supporting users when technical issues arise.
